Structural and Economic Analysis of Trout Breeding Farms in Elazýð Province

DOI : 10.17693/yunusae.vi.235395 Viewed : 2920 - Downloaded : 2046 Elazýð Keban Dam Reservoir has an appearance of peninsula with 105.616 ha. in surface area as well as Karakaya Dam Reservoir and many streams and Lake Hazar nurturing these Dam reservoirs. In Elazýð, there have been huge developments depending upon high capacity and speed-up in recent years. With the contribution of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock to aquaculture; the capacity of aquaculture facilities in Elazýð has reached 22.385 ton/tear (September 2011). In a city where industry and tourism have not developed, the added-value depending on employment resulting from aquaculture and income growth is significant to Elazýð and region economy. With this study, the social, structural and economic analyses of salmon enterprises in Elazýð have been conducted. The data have been obtained by questionnaire from 111 enterprises and by using integer method. Of salmon enterprises, 51,4% are busy with aquaculture in Keban Dam Reservoir and 46,8% in net cages set up on Karakaya Dam Reservoir. 45% of enterprises entered into service in 2010. Trout in fishnet cages in enterprises to grow the enterprise in total assets per share of capital in the largest win fish in capital with 86,6% are. Land of the largest trout in the share of enterprises active capital 80,5 % belongs to. Especially because of production in hatchery is far beyond from the Project capacity. The largest share in gross revenues of land in the enterprises consists of the sale of 99,25% of fry. The percentage 99,95% of the gross revenues was obtained from the sale of portion of fish. The highest share of management expenses of land in the enterprises were calculated as fodder expenses with 31,68% and labor costs with 24,10%. The biggest portion of production costs of the production of trout in the lattice fishnet of business enterprises constitutes fodder with 60,08 and fry expense with 9,30. Rantabilite rates; business enterprises in the land 69,82 and business enterprises in the fishnet lattice as 21,99% is determined.
